What a fabulous weekend of non-stop country music!

Lucknow’s fourth annual Music in the Fields Country Music Festival was a must see this past weekend with a star-studded line up!

Travis Tritt, Terri Clark, Aaron Lines, Chad Brownlee, Kira Isabella, The Stellas, Doc Walker, One More Girl and The River Junction Band all took to the main stage for two full days of kick-ass country music. The James Cameron Band and Kerosene Creek also rocked the side stage of the Sepoy Saloon. If you’re a country fan in Southwestern Ontario, this event is a must do!

We’re pleased to announce that our very own Patrice Whiffen will be acting as the ‘In the Fields’ reporter for the upcoming Music in the Fields country music festival to take place in Lucknow, Ontario on August 24 and 25.

She’ll be interviewing artists, vendors, and fans about their experience at the event! She’s looking forward to chatting with fellow Country Music Junkies, and fans that find Patrice have a chance to appear in the 2012 Music in the Fields video!

 The CMA Music Festival really is country music’s BIGGEST party! As soon as I arrived in Nashville on Wednesday night, it was obvious that I was in the right place. Surrounded by cowboy boots, country music and thousands of fans, I knew my weekend would be one to remember (or at least try to).

This four-day event is one of the most star-studded experiences for any country music fan.

Tonight on CBS, catch Martina McBride among many other celebrities, as they come together to encourage adoption.

The CBS special, entitled, “A Home for the Holidays with Martina McBride” airs tonight at 8pm. The special will include Mary J. Blige, Gavin DeGraw, Justin Bieber and Katherine Heigl, among others. Heigl will also be joined by her adopted sister.

Although Eric and his wife, Katherine, welcomed Boone McCoy to the world back on October 3rd, the couple has only just released photos to the media.

“Everyone always tells you what an awesome and unique experience being a parent is, but words can never do the feeling justice. The way our life changed in that 24-hour period alone after he was born — just by putting a little boy in the house — was awesome.”

Congratulations to the Church family for their new ‘homeboy.’

For any of you that missed the American Country Awards this past Monday night – here’s a recap of what was one of the BEST award shows of 2011.

Carrie Underwood stunned fans looking gorgeous as always as she accepted her award for Female Artist of the Year, and winner for Music Video and Single of the Year (Female) for “Mama’s Song.”
